Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Since upgrading to Snow Leopard last week, I have been unable to edit documents in Word because of a delay between the instance I type characters and the time they actually show up on the document. Each time I type something, there is a delay, then the wait wheel pops up and several seconds later, the characters will beginning to be rendered on the document. This makes Word utterly useless and completely frustrating to use.
I have spent several hours today with both Apple and Mactopia telephone reps and have
* cleared out caches
* deleted MS preference lists
* verified disk permissions
* reinstalled Office 2008
* gone into the font book to resolve duplicates
and yet nothing has worked and the problem continues. I have used Office Mac for many years and it would be tragic if I have to migrate to another program. I would be grateful for any suggestions on fixing this issue.
Thank you.
