Splash Page

I have a finished frontpage website and would like to add a splash page to
the front of it. I cant seem to place a page in front of or replace my index
with the new page. Can someone give me more detail about how to insert this
new page?

The splash page has to have the same name as your current home/index page for your site, so you will
have to rename your current index/home page.

Now if you are using FP navigation, this is not going to work unless you can create a subweb/subsite
under your hosting account and publish your current site to the subweb, then in the root web just
leave your splash page which would have a link to the subweb/subsite.
