Split database for more than one set of tables?

Through the Database Splitter routine (or through other
means) is it possible to use one set of Access objects for
multiple table files? In other words, can I define one set
of forms, macros, queries, etc., and use them for one set
of tables at a given time, then another set of tables at
another time, and so on? The tables files would all have
identical properties, fields, relationships, etc., but
would contain different sets of data.

Is there a way to "unlink" the tables, especially
programmatically? I'd like only one set of tables in use
at a time.
