Hi
Our clients use our split database. Normally we install a front end on each
PC and put the backend on a shared location, usually a server.
Sometimes the company's own IT dept does funny things. In this case they
have moved the front and backend on to the server. This means that each user
is going to the shared drive and clicking on the front end. In other words
the front end is no longer on the individual PCs; it is just on the server.
This seems to work but I have a feeling that it is an incorrect setup. What
are the disadvantages to doing this?
