Split of data bases

We have five data bases running on a network server and have 15 people
accessing the data bases, 2 data captures and 3 payments people, i want to
split the data bases FE & BE how does the payments and data capture people
change data when they do there work if the data tables are kept seperate it
may a stupid question but i have never split before, we have run these data
bases for two years the old way.

When you split, all that happens is that you have a Front end that runs on
each computer, and they link to the back end files

Really, not much different happens. The uses simply open the correct
application which is now on their own computer, but the data file simple
stays exactly where it is now!!
