split task

I have a 1 day (8 hour work task) that I need to split after 6 hours of work has been completed. When I use the split task button and move the cursor over to the new date and click, nothing happens.

Is there a way to split a task after its been started and for a task that is 8 hours long?

Hi markel

personally i would do the splitting in either the Resource Usage view or the
Task Usage view, find your 8 hours of work, type in 6 & put the other 2
where you want them.
