Split Tasks

Hi There,

I have a user who has MS Project 2003 - he is trying to split a task so that
it is shown with the ..... inbetween the split. However it appears to be just
extending the timeline. On the same PC running Project as another user it
works as you would expect by putting the ... in the middle, but under his
user profile it does not work.

Can anyone suggest what may be causing this and how to resolve this problem
without going down the route of deleting his network profile!!

Things I have tried:
-Uninstall Project
-Clean out Registry
-Delete any folders used by Project
-Full reboot of the system
-reinstall

Other info - XP SP3 on system, Office XP on system, in a domain environment,
Users My Docs on network, profile stored locally, user is an administrator of
own PC

Many Thanks

Hi Paul,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

Try Format/Layout... and select to Show bar splits.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)
