split verb/inverse phrase text on a relationship

Is there a way to split the verb phrase text from the inverse phrase
text on a relationship such that each phrase can be positioned
independently on a data model diagram? I know that the Text Block tool
can be used to position the phrases anywhere, but they always remain
together formated as "verb / inverse".

These phrases are separate fields in the database properties, so it
seems reasonable that each could appear as separate text.
