split workbook

I have been working in a workbook that has become quite large. What's the
best way to split a workbook, taking one or two section groups into a new
workbook? I checked help and it's helpless. I try to create a new workbook
and get an error that I can't create a workbook from a section group of an
open workbook. Hmm... that's exactly what I want to do!
Thanks.

It's pretty easy:
1.) Unfold (open/maximize) the "Navigation Pane" by clicking on the
double arrows.

2.) Create a new notebook.

3.) Move the section of the old notebook to the new one:
a) Just drag the section to the new notebook and drop it on its header
in the navigation pane;
OR
b) right-click on the section in the navigation pane,
in the context menu select "Move",
a dialog box will open, select the new notebook as the target.
OR
c) Close ON.
In the Windows Explorer move the folder of the section in question to
the folder of the new notebook.

Another way to do it:
After you've created a new notebook, you can go back to the one you're
trying to split up and use CTRL-click to select the pages you want to move.

Then, right-click to display the context menu and choose "Move Page to",
"Another Section..." and choose the new notebook you just created.
