Splitting a big exel table (onto 2 pages) in MS Word XP

Hi,

I've created an object (Microsoft Exel Worksheet) under Microsoft Word XP,
the table that I've created is big and cannot be viewed in one page, so I'm
searching for a help from anyone who can tell me HOW TO SPLIT this big exel
table in word to view it in two or three pages, but with the possibility to
do the calculation (with functions) that can be in any rows or cells (for
example, the row in third page can do the calculation of a sum of some rows
in the first exel table page multiplied by a row of the same exel table but
in its continued second page table), everything in word document.
Till this moment I can view only the edited part of the created exel table
in word document, the lower part can't be viewed, and this is the clou of my
problem I WANT TO VIEW THE WHOLE EXEL TABLE whith the ability of changing my
data in one word document.

Thanks for every information how to do that, that can help me...

Toni.

Hi Toni,

I don't believe it is possible to have multiple embedded Excel workbooks in
a document referencing each other, let alone with dynamic updating across
all instances.

Since you want to retain the functionality across multiple pages, I'd
suggest setting up an embedded Excel workbook on each page, containing the
formatting you want, then using Excel's external link formulae pointing to
the existing workbook to pull in the data. You would then do all of your
maintenance in the source workbook, but you might have to 'open' the
embedded workbooks to get them to update.

An alternative would be to copy a 'page' of your Excel workbook and paste it
into Word using Edit|Paste Special and choosing the 'Paste link' option. If
you choose the RTF format, the linked data will adopt a 'Word' table
appearance rather than an Excel worksheet appearance, and will probably help
to minimise the file size. Repeat for each page. One probable drawback is
that Excel's formatting will be lost.

Cheers
