Splitting Database

I have an Access Database whick I converted to 2003, using
the Database Convert. I want to distribute the database
and be able to upgrade the front end without changing the
underlying tables. I now want to split. When I split,
using the Database Splitter, the tables revert back to
Acess 2000. Any help?

ACCESS 2000 format is the format for ACCESS 2003 (and ACCESS 2002) tables.
Nothing is wrong.

When I try to make MDE with tables database I get an error
message that I cannot make an .mde file because the
database format is Access 2000. How can I rectify this?

You don't want to make an .mde file from the backend database....make the
..mde only from the front end. The backend remains as an .mdb file.
