Hi,
I receive following error message.
Request Progress Information/ The manager cannot create the resource account

affected user.
Could someone pls. help?

Lars:

The error indicates that you have a local resource in your project plan who
has their workgroup value set to Project Server or default, and the default
is Project Server, and you do not have permission to create a logon account
for this user. So, the question is, do you intend to have Local Resources in
your plan? If so, set the workgroup value to none, or get the Project Server
administrator to create an account for the resource.

Gary:

Many thanks for your response. However I still have some question:
1. I'm the Project server Admin and I'm the Project Manager so I have full
authorization.
2. What is a local resource?
3. How can I identify the local resource, so that I can grant access to the
server or to the project?
4. Where in the Project Server do I change the value to none?

Many thanks
Lars

Lars:

1. I'm the Project server Admin and I'm the Project Manager so I have full
authorization.

Full authorization to use the features that are enabled in the system, that
is. So, is this feature enabled in your system?

2. What is a local resource?

A resource in your project plan that is not a member of the Enterprise
Resource Pool.
3. How can I identify the local resource, so that I can grant access to
the
server or to the project?

Local resources are marked with an icon similar to a generic resource. You
can see this icon by applying the resource sheet view after you open the
project.
4. Where in the Project Server do I change the value to none?

You change the value in the Resource Information Dialog box which you can
open from resource sheet view in the Project.
