spoolsv.exe runs constantly-50% of CPU

Task manager shows me that the print spooler in Windows XP Pro is running all
the time, consuming fully 50% of the CPU. No other programs are running.
What is the cause and can it be fixed?? It only happens on one of four
computers I have running XP Pro.

Will appreciate any input on this strange problem.

You've posted in a newsgroup for the office suite Mac Office for Apple.
Since you're running XP Pro, you're in the wrong place. Try either:

microsoft.public.windowsxp.print_fax or
microsoft.public.windowsxp.general
(or crosspost to both).
