I'm sporadically hearing from users that they sometimes cannot mouse
click the menubar and toolbars in Word. When this occurs they can,
however, still use the mouse to click scroll controls and select text.
No overt pattern has been provided to reproduce it. Thus, I haven't
seen it happen.
Users simply save documents via accelerator keys and close/open Word
to correct the issue.
The problem has only occurred in some offices (not all offices) that
have been upgraded with Word 2K-sp3 and Win 2K-sp3 in conjunction
with a conversion to iManage and Outlook.
I haven't been able to find any causes or solutions. I've seen
references suggesting mouse or printer drivers as the culprit but
nothing concrete.
Can anyone offer any help/suggestions?
