Spotlight no longer searches or indexes the contents of DOCX files

This is a very important feature to me, and Office 2008 has disabled this ability. Why can't spotlight look inside of these files, or find them at all? Do I have the settings wrong?

I'd appreciate any help I could get.

You must have Notification/Reminders turned on. You might need to reset Sync
Services. Open Entourage preferences --> Spotlight and select 'Rebuild'

Because there is a bug in the .mdimport file for Microsoft Office.

We just found it and reported it today. We need to wait for Microsoft to
issue a new spotlight importer file.

That "might" be in the Service Pack due out next week. But I doubt it: more
likely the one after, unless Microsoft found the bug themselves during
testing.
