Spotting Identical Files

S

Steve

Hi everyone,

Is there an easy way to tell if 2 powerpoint files are identical? I
believe programs exist that can check this if the files are completely
identical (including filename and last modified date), but are there
any more sophisticated ones more suited to powerpoint?

Is there a way to check if a file has been saved twice with two
different filenames?

Is there a way to check if two files are very similar? i.e. get a
report that says 48/52 slides are identical in both files

Thanks for your help

Steve

In XP there is a function called Compare and Merge Presentations (under the
Tools Menu). This feature is in all Office XP applications. It is quite
difficult to use, but once you get the hang of it, it will save lots of
time.
