spreadsheet problem

I was working on a large spreadsheet for work. everything was fine, i
saved it and logged off. when i logged back on and opened it it is all
symbols. it no longer has separate worksheets and just has one page of
these symbols. I do not have a back up of course. All of my other
spreadsheets are fine. Can it be restored?

Hi Tina,

This is not good news, is it?

For future reference you can turn on Excel's automatic backup feature. Just
click the Options button in the Save-As dialog box and click in the box to
automatically create a backup file.

You can try opening the file in Excel 2002 in Windows. Open Excel first,
then use File > Open. Select the file with a SINGLE click. Next to the Open
button is a little tiny arrow. Click on the arrow and choose the option that
lets you repair Excel files.

The feature is Windows only, unfortunately.
