Spreadsheets not functioning well on WinXP OS

L

Lee Gattenby

I have been having problems with some excel functions on
the XP operating system (specifically HLOOKUP and
VLOOKUP). WinXP OS systems give me #### errors when doing
calculations on spreadsheets containing the aforementioned
functions. They work just fine on Win2k, WinNT and older
Win9x platforms. I have downloaded every patch available
and have also contacted Dell about the problem (as my
machines are still under warranty). The Dell level 2
technicians told me is probably a DB engine problem (with
the OS), not indicitive to Dell hardware (and I agree).

I have noted other problems with the WinXP OS, but none as
problematic as these. Does anyone out there have an idea
what can be done about this?

Hi Lee,

#### means the columns are too narrow to display the result:
Font sizes can be slightly different under Win XP.

Have you tried making the columns wider?
