SPTimeout value of 15 minutes ignored after MDAC 2.7 Installation

I've just updated several NT 4.0 Servers with MDAC 2.7sp1. I'm running
several websites connected to an Oracle Database. The problem I'm
having is instead of my connections to the Database lasting 15 minutes
as they did with MDAC 2.5 they now last about 5 minutes or less
causing thousands of additional connections a day. I checked in the NT
Servers registry to see if the SPTimeout value had changed with the
installation of MDAC 2.7 and it had not. I still have several Servers
running MDAC 2.5 connected to the same Database and they have all
retained the 15 minute timeout value.

HELP!!!
