Spybot killed Office XP

I ran Spybot and now I can't open Word or Excel
documents. Certain HD_Key files were removed and I can't
restore them in the Spybot restore program. I've
uninstalled Spybot and Office XP and reinstalled Office
XP, still getting "can't open file" in Excel, "the
document XXXXXXX is not available" in Word. I sent the
files to my other computer and they open fine. I
reinstalled Windows XP also to no avail. Help!

You'll probably want to talk to the author of SpyBot Search and Destroy.

If you got to the Tracks.uti tab from the Excludes Option of Spybot. The tab
for Excludes is found on left hand side of the Spybot screen. Scroll down
until you see the MS Office 10 (?) options. I have ticked all of these,
which means that SpyBot will ignore these if they are found - they will not
be offered up by Spybot for deletion. I have noticed no problems with
Office XP and SpyBot, so maybe ticking these prevents the problems that you
have experienced? Try it after you sort Office out.
