I received the following error message when I open Outlook 2003 -

" Business Contact Manager for Outlook database cannot be loaded. This
action cannot be completed because Business Contact Manager cannot access the
database. Specified SQL erver not found: tcp:pC425222834253\MICROSOFT
SMLBIZ, 56183. Do you want to change the database configuration?"

I keep answering "no" because I'm afraid of losing my database full of
contacts.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

Many thanks,
Wendy

You won't lose your data by answering yes; it won't delete your data.
But answering yes won't necessarily help you connect to your existing
database.

Can you ping PC425222834253 from your machine?

If yes, can OSQL connect to PC425222834253\MICROSOFTSMLBIZ,56183?

If not, you'll need to track down machine PC425222834253 and see
what's going on there. On that machine can you access the database
logged in as the same user? Perhaps a firewall's been turned on?
