SQL authentication mode issue

J

Jim

going throught the Project Server 2003 installation, I
get to the screen where I choose to create a new
database, specify my server and connect using Windows
Authentication. I'm installing on SBS2003. When I click
next I get the following error:

Microsoft Office Project Server 2003 requires the
Microsoft SQL Server to be in mixed authentication mode.
Choose a different server.

When I open the SQL Enterprise Manager and try to change
authentication to mixed mode, it never takes. I choose
SQL Server and Windows Authentication, click ok, reopen
the properties dialog and it is back to Windows Only
Authentication.

Any ideas? All help would be appreciated.

Jim:

The SQL server must be set to recognize both SQL and Windows Accounts. It
can't be set to Windows only, which the error is saying that your server is.
