I have 3 tables in SQL2000 that I can access via a system DSN either to
"transfer" or "link".
I need to create an ascii print file from the header/footer and line items
data in these 2 tables.

Should I "DSN-select" from the SQL into Access2000 (my host application)
tables and produced the needed ascii text files from Access tables , or can
I create the text file directly from the SQL database via a select statement
via DSN?

any general guidance appreciated
