SQL error in MS Project

Dear all,
One of the client get this error when try work with MS Project 2003 connect
to Project server.Giving me a headache of whats goin on.She is using vpn
though to connect .

Connection failed:
SQLState:'28000'
SQL Server Error:18456
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Login failed for user
'gprotech\lhtan'.

Does your VPN allow connections through port 1433?

This is the SQL port that Project Pro uses to connect to the database.

The IT manager.He told me the VPN doesnt use any port.Pls help.Thanks Gary!
