Sql Error when connecting from Project Client to Project Server

We have a Windows 2003 SP1 server with sql 2000 installed, running Project
2003. Things were working fine up until a couple of weeks ago, we started
getting an HTTP invalid verb error when you selected 'test connection' under
the Collaborate - Collaborate Options - Collaborate. This was done on a
client machine running project 2003 and attempting to set up the connection.
This problem was fixed by changing the execute permissions on the ISAPI
directory under our project virtual directory to 'scripts and executables'
Now I have a new problem.

On the client machine, when I attempt to open a project, I keep getting the
following error.

Connection Failed:
SqlState '28000'
SqlServer Error 18456
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server][login failed for user
'MSProjectUser']

Once i type in the password for the MSProjectUser it works o.k., but I know
this wasn't necessary before. I think I have everythign set up for Windows
authentication, I don't know why it keeps try to authenitcate with SQL. Also,
the MSProjectUser and MSProjectServerUser accts were both deleted and
recreated. Is it possible the SSID's are not in sync with something? Or did I
miss something when I recreated the ID's?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks,
Bob

In deleting and recreating the user accounts, you should also have dropped
them from the database first and added them back after recreating them. I
think it would be a good idea for you to download the EditSite tools from
Microsoft and let us know what results you get on from the test button.

EditSite showed that the MSProjectServerRole Member was actually the
MSProjectServerUser and not the MSProjectUser. Once I changed it to
MSProjectUser, everything worked. Thanks!
