SQL Reports

I have this summary report automatically sent by SQL Reporting Services. Im
using Excel X w/ the latest updates installed still, the file wont open
giving this error message:

"The application Excel quit unexpectedly."
Mac OS X and other application are not affected.
Click Reopen to open the application again. Click Report to see more details
or send a report to Apple.

I even tried Excel 2004 same thing, it wont open. I suspect there's
something wrong with the file. I can open other excel files except from that
SQL Reporting Services. Any idea????

I hope I can fix this as soon as possible. Thanks for assistance...

That seems most likely.

You might try to open it in OpenOffice. I've had some success opening
corrupted workbooks then doing a Save As, and having XL be able to open
the new file. My favorite version of OpenOffice is NeoOffice:

We came across the same issue here. I know that NeoOffice opens an RS Excel
perfectly. However, most of our users are novice. We are trying to make it
easier to the users.

Is this possible to create a script so that when the user drags the RS Excel
file to the script file, it will re-save the file using NeoOffice but without
opening NeoOffice. We are trying to think of a way such that the "re-saving"
process in NeoOffice will be as transparent to the user as possible. We
prefer not to confuse the user by asking them to switch between different
softwares.

Does anyone know if this is possible?

Thanks!
