SQL Server 2005 and Project Server 2003 on same machine??

I've been assigned the task of setting up a Project Server that will only
have about 4 clients. I planned to install SQL Server 2005 and Project
Server 2003 on the same machine. The installation roadmap from Microsoft
suggests they need to be on separate boxes. Is that suggestion simply for
performance issues, or will I be sorry for putting them on the same server?

you will be fine, it's recommended to separate them from a scalability and
maintenance point of view

Thanks so much for your reply. I need to get started on this project but
just needed some moral support and a nudge in the right direction. ;)

ToniSu:

There is one issue with this configuration. Sometimes the Project Server
services fail to start because they depend on the SQL service. You may need
to add a registry entry to make the Project Server services dependent on the
SQL Service. If you run into this problem, post back and we'll give you the
fix.
