SQL SERVER Database fields in OneNote

Hello,

I don't currently use OneNote, but am considering it. I have a question.
Can I insert database fields from SQL Server into a Onenote page? Like you
can in
Microsoft Word for mail merging?

Hi Daniel,

Only by writing a lot of code could you get this functionality.

If you want to take on this type of project, start with these sites:
1. A general "how to" write an addin:

2. The API we use is documented at
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms788684.aspx

It's all XML, so should be relatively easy to import/export.

Hi John,

Thanks for the links. They were quite interesting.

While I can write code, I was trying to avoid that if possible. I was hoping
for a simple field that I could insert and then have it updated through a
SQL statement.

I guess if I get desperate enough, I'll start looking at coding it myself.
