Is there a limit for clients (Access .adp instances on separate computers)
that can simultaneously connect to SQL Server Desktop Edition that ships
with MS Office XP Professional?
I'm aware that more than half a dozen simultaneous users may slow down the
performance, but my client is having a problem making more than 4
connections (at all) to a database running on the server, after upgrading
from the MSDE that came with Office 2000 Pro.
According to their report, the older version of MSDE was 7.00623 (worked
fine), and the newer (aka SQL Server Desktop Edition) is 8.0049 (fails to
connect more than 4).
Thank you
