SQL Server Links disconnecting

I have an Access Frontend using SQL Server Tables. The SQL Tables are linked automatically every time a user opens the Database. However, when they start using the form that is setup a series of updates occur using SQL Queries in Code. When it comes time for the SQL Query to execute the tables links disappear and the following error message is generated
Run Time Error 3184: Could not Execute Query; Could not find linked table. Is there a reason why Access 2002 kills the links to the tables? Is there away to reconnect these tables when the link is lost. The database has 110 Tables that are all on the SQL Server
