sql table link properties

Is it possible to modify a linked table's properties? I have a sql table
that is linked via odbc with a decimal field. Access is assuming this field
is currency, and it needs to be basic number field with fixed decimal places,
no currency sign. As it stands, all queries created default that field to
currency in the output.
