Great resource! I've learned alot...
I'm hoping someone can point me to some tools/code/tutorials to accomplish
the following:
Export the text content of a Powerpoint presentation and insert the data
into SQL 2000. We have an html/asp interface designed that allows our
people to update the various data (this process updates our web site). We
would like to take this new data and re-import it into the original
Powerpoint file.
Having searched a lot of the sites discussed in here I'm fairly confident we
can get the data out (using VBA). Is it going to be possible to get the new
content back in with similar VBA code? Are there any tools that exist to do
this already?
I know of the PPTMerge product but I'm not sure if this would be overkill
since we would need thousands of variables to update all the content.
Lastly, having worked a great deal with XML I'm surprised that there is not
a way to link a PPT to an XML file. Is this a planned feature of
Powerpoint? Has anyone seen utilities available to accomplish this?
Thanks in advance.
