Squished text when printing

This is an new problem for me with PP. It has always worked perfectly
for me before.

All of my text on slides and in notes looks perfect on the screen.
However, in preview and in printed form, and when i make a pdf, all of
the text gets squished into a small space with letters overlapping
each other.

I have the same problem with three different printers. All of my
printer drivers are up to date. Why is this happening?

thank you!

Hi,

What version of PowerPoint? What operating system? What printer brand, model
and printer driver version are you using?

Thanks.

problem solved. pilot error...

my printer is not, and will not be, compatible with 10.5.1. because i
didn't test the dos with alternate printers actually plugged in, the
problem didn't fix itself by changing printers in the print dialogue.
plug in a diff printer...problem goes away.

thanks!

I'm glad you found a solution. I'm afraid I had given up. I've resorted to copying the document to a thumb drive and giving it to my husband to print from his MacBook running Tiger. (I'm running Leopard on a 15" MacBook Pro and printing to a Konica-Minolta 2430 DL laser printer. I tossed the old driver and installed the newest one they have. I've sent emails to KM tech support, but have received no response.)

I'm connected wirelessly to this printer that I share with other people. Is there any way I can fix the problem without plugging the printer directly into my computer? Just wondering.

my guess is that the Konica driver is not compatible with 10.5.1. you
might be able to find this info on the Konica web site, as i found the
same info on the brother site.
