I am trying to use Group policy to redeploy an install of
Office XP. However it is not working. I have created and
administrative install and then download the
admin1_msp.msp file to apply(This may not be the name of
the file but it is the one for SP1 I cannot recall). I
then run the following command
"msiexec /a \\server\share\proplus.msi /p
\\server\share\admin1_msp.msp /QB+. It acts like it is
updating the files but when I redeploy through a GPO and
check the version of the office apps it has not updated.
Does anyone know if there is a bug with the .msp file I am
using or if my syntax is wrong? Thanks for any help.
