SR2 uprade not installing trough network

Our network runs on Win2k and our standard install is SR1 through the server.
Recently some users are getting a dialog box showing SR2 trying to install
and then that is cannot install. This only happens when they initially open
a MS application that day. Once the application is open, the didalog box
does not reappear. You can "cancel" the SR2 install box (after several
clicks) and the application continues to open and work normally. Our main
server is not at my location.

Any suggestions/ideas?

Contact your Network Administrator, who will (should) have both the
knowledge, and the appropriate rights, to effect a solution to your problem.
