SRS Report not displaying timesheet in correct format

B

BruceFFIC

Hope someone can help on this issue:

This report creates a matrix of timesheet information for all
resources under a single Timesheet Manager. The number of columns is
determined by the number of open timesheet periods, and the order of
periods is intended to be descending by start date, but that's the
problem. Although the query returns data in the correct order, the
SRS report matrix does not.

Our open periods are 2/15/10 to 3/22/10, and the query returns them in
correctly:

Period Name Work Start Date End Date Project Name Resource Name
2010 Week 12 39.25 3/22/2010 3/28/2010 Project 2 Test
Resource
2010 Week 11 1 3/15/2010 3/21/2010 Project 1 Test
Resource
2010 Week 11 39 3/15/2010 3/21/2010 Project 2 Test
Resource
2010 Week 10 40.75 3/8/2010 3/14/2010 Project 2 Test
Resource
2010 Week 9 1.5 3/1/2010 3/7/2010 Project 1 Test
Resource
2010 Week 9 32.5 3/1/2010 3/7/2010 Project 2 Test
Resource
2010 Week 8 2 2/22/2010 2/28/2010 Project 1 Test
Resource
2010 Week 8 38 2/22/2010 2/28/2010 Project 2 Test
Resource
2010 Week 7 0.32 2/15/2010 2/21/2010 Project 2 Test
Resource

But the SRS report displays the columns from left to right in what
appears to be ascending day within descending month:

3/8/2010, 3/15/2010, 3/22/2010, 3/29/2010, 2/15/2010, 2/22/201

Bruce:

SSRS reports are custom items, so you need to repost your question to the
developers group at microsoft.public.project.developer
You will also need to share the relevant code behind the report. What you
have posted is not actionable.

Hey Bruce from FFIC. Hope you are doing well.

Have you tried sorting by date in the layout of the matrix?
