SSL not working with Outlook 2000

MS Outlook 2000 SP-3 works fine until I try to use SSL, when I get the
following Error message -- Unable to connect to the server. (Account:
'pop.att.yahoo.com', POP3 Server: 'pop.att.yahoo.com', Error Number:
0x800ccc0e'
The port numbers I'm using for SSL are: 465 for outgoing and 995 for
incoming.
Any suggestions?

A few questions...

- Are you in the U.S.? If so, are you paying for your Yahoo account? Free
Yahoo accounts can't be POP3ed into Outlook in the U.S. without a 3rd party
utility.
- Are you sure you need SSL enabled?

Yes, I am in the U.S. and I'm paying AT&T for the yahoo account. AT&T has
notified me "about some important security improvements we're making to your
AT&T Yahoo! service." which requires Outlook to be SSL enabled.
Thank you for your interest and I look forward to advice/suggestions.

I am getting the same messages from AT&T Yahoo, and I think I have made the
changes described in the e-mail, but I am still geting them. I am able to
connect to the server, but since I have made the neccessary changes, why am I
still getting the e-mails? Also, I am unsure if the same changes need to be
made to the Blackberry too; and if so, how do I do that?

Thanks for any input...I have called AT&T and didn't get any answers.

Here is the only page I could find with all the instructions on it, for
Outlook 2000:

Make sure you have taken all these steps and then make any changes that AT&T
mentioned in the e-mail. See if that helps. For what it's worth, Yahoo
Answers seems to be a good place to ask questions about using Yahoo's POP
mail with Outlook and other programs.
