SSL, Sharepoint & Central Admin

Hey

Got Project Server 03 running on a SBS Premium 03 box with little problems,
but now I have run into a problem, we have an external access setup and I
need to set the sharepoint url's in project server admin\manage sharepoint
services to IP's on https rather than https://servername

I am wanting to set them to https://server_ip:444 for SP central admin
and https://server_ip/sites for the sharepoint url

The error I get is the following
Verify that the sharepoint Central Administration URL and/or Sharepoint Web
Server URL are configured properly to support SSL.

We have an external IP that is static, when a user enters it this is routed
through a cisco router that is port forwarding to our internal ip, this is
working fine but I need IP's and not host headers.

I have checked out the SSL certificates on the server and there seems to be
no problems, the certificate they are using is the certificate for the
external IP, could this ber the issue? could it be that we are tryin to use a
cert for our external IP on our internal IP?

Any help would be appreciated

I currently use 443 for the virtual server that hosts Sharepoint and Project
Server, SP Central Admin is on a different virtual server, and my
understanding of IIS (correct me if im wrong) is that I cannot have two
virtual servers on the same port, this Central Admin is on Port 444.

I recently setup a new server for Project 2003. Similar problem a
above. Project requires SSL. SSL works fine to access Project Document
or WSS Admin if I type the URL directly into IE. I get an error when
try to save the configuration under Project Admin, Manage Window
Sharepoint Services Option. I am using port 444 for sharepoint admi
and 443 for sharepoint documents.

What did you do to solve this problem?
