I have BCM installed on a server and four client pc's which can connect to
the server. When pcA connects to BCM all looks fine, except when pcB tries to
connect I get the following error message:

Business Contact Manager for Outlook database cannot be loaded. This action
cannot be completed because Business Contact Manager cannot access the
database.
Cannot generate SSPI context.

When pcA disconnects, pcB will work okay (can't remember if pcB rebooted or
not).

HELP!!! I have to get this going asap!

I read the microsoftKB article and found it could be a DNS problem.

I then checked the DNS server and found that forwarding was turned on. I
turned this off. Rebooted both pc's and now they both can connect to the
server without a problem.

All great articles. I'm trying to narrow down the problem. I may have it
solved. The articles all talk about having a 'sane' network. So I started to
investigate the pc's. I noticed the pc's were hooking up to the router for
dhcp/dns resolution. Turns out the dsl router was swapped out when we went to
static ip. But dns was never turned off.
I rebooted the server also...to clear the dns cache and auto-apply the latest
windows patch (smirk).
So far it has been quite today.
I did notice the VPN connection & IP has not yet been established today. I
noticed pinging the server caused the resolution to ping-pong between the NIC
IP and VPN IP. MMmm. We'll find out on monday I guess after I VPN in from
home.
Also-
I have not yet removed the mutli HOST and MSSQLS entries by running setspn -L

The users won't be hitting bcm hard this week...so no new updates for one or
two weeks.
This past friday I had bcm running on the three pcs without a problem.
All was DNS related.
Turns out the router was also running DHCP. So I turned that off.
The PC's were all configured with the ISP's DNS server vs. the server (192.
168.1.2)

I wonder if the vpn resolution for server1 could be a factor. I just noticed
today on the server's dhcp address leases shows numerous vpn addresses for
the server. and also lists the name without the root. ex: server1.corpxyz
all other pcs are listed in dhcp with their fqn ex: pc2.corpxyz.com, laptop.
corpxyz.com

so it is a bit strange to see the vpn ip without the root (.com). Does anyone
know if this is normal?? I may check some other forums later this week.
