SSRS and Cube Installation Project

For cube to build successfully we need to install MS SQL 2005 Managemen
Objects Collection at all front end servers where Project serve
application is running. Meanwhile since we are running SSRS integrate
with MOSS mode all front end servers need to have “SQL SSRS 2008 Add-i
for MOSS” code installed. Later code (SSRS add-in) has higher versio
of Management Objects Collection so it will overwrite the previou
installed SQL 2005 component. Unfortunately Project server 2007 use SQ
2000 Analysis service to build the cube which needs older version to ru
or it will give error “ActiveX component can't create object”.
Microsoft’s document indicates the fix for this error is to install th
right version of Management Objects Collection (2005).

To summarize the problem:

If we want SSRS integrated mode for reports: Need add-inno cub
can run
If we want Project server cube to runneed Management Object
Collection codecan’t have SSRS Add-in installedN
integrated mode SSRS

While you are at Project 2010 conference with lots of Microsoft expert
could you please check with them about this version conflict? Eithe
version (Project 2007 or 2010) we will use it needs to have a
architectural decision for base MOSS installation
