Recently i have noticed that word has been getting slower and slower to
respond. I am running all teh lateest updates to Office 2004 on OS
10.4.2 on a G4 IMac. today when i was trying to fax a page it kept
freezing--both word and Microsoft error reporting came up Not
responding. I repaired permissions. I shut down word and
restarted--still getting hung up. I rebooted computer and restarted
word--still getting hung up. Any one else have this problem?

Not seeing that here. Try the standard troubleshooting measures, which you
will find listed here:

(hit refresh a few times in Safari, or use a different browser)

Work through them one by one until something helps. If nothing does, post
back. The most common culprit is a corrupted Normal template or damaged
Preferences file.

You might also test whether it works in a different user account.
