Staff directory with pictures based on Address Book?

Hi, I have been asked to look into a staff directory with pictures based
on the internal address list. Staff details such as phone number,
position etc are all stored in Exchange but do not have pictures.

Any solutions out there or should I be considering writing a web app
using WebDav, LDAP or ADSI and Exchange?
