Stand alone database

hiya, im building a soloution for my client and he has requested that I make
the database a "stand alone", which means that he doesnt want any of the
toolbars at the top or the minimise/maximise/close buttons or menus.
Is this possible?

Take a look at the Startup options (under Tools menu items).

Also look into setting the borders of your forms to Thin.

On top of what that does can you also take off the minimise/maximise/close
buttons on access not just the database forms/reports e.t.c. or disable them?

How exactly will he minimize the application to find his email, what
with no controls? <g>

Seriously, if he wants to prevent users from getting at the inner works
of the database, should you consider creating a VB/.Net front end?

I think that the main button he wanted disables was the close one as he kept
using it to close forms by accident.

And I would use something like VB/.net except I dont have the program or the
knowledge to do it.

Wait a second,... your boss wants you to come up with a way to prevent him
from closing the application? Because he can't remember not to "x" out of
it?

It sounds to me like your boss is trying to design the application. I
thought that was your job...
