Hello,

Is there a way to create a self contained access database? An application
to itself. The destination PC does not have access on it so I need to
convert the MDB file into an executable.

Short answer, no.

You must have Access on the machine or install the Access Runtime. To get a
license to distribute the Access Runtime, you must purchase the "Microsoft
Visual Studio Tools for the Microsoft Office System"

Developer Extensions"
http://msdn.microsoft.com/office/technologyinfo/devtools/accessextensions/default.aspx.

If you're doing this for one machine, it's probably easier and cheaper just
to install a full copy of Access. If you are going to distribute your
database to two or more machines and you don't need the ability to make
changes to the database on those machines, the Runtime is the way to go.
