Standard Office:mac/ Student Teacher Upgrade ?

I have Office:mac standard full version and have for nearly two years.
However, I rarely use it now but have made my computer available to
foreign language student teachers that wanted it upgraded to 2004
version. As it was for the language students I decided I would see if
I would qualify to purchase the Student Teacher upgrade edition. No
questions or forms were presented to me as I expected and it is now on
route to me purchased on the web. I am now wondering if the
registration is at install and will the student / teacher upgrade my
full standard edition ??? Due to receive it by post today or Monday.
Have I just wasted a lot of money on them ??

If you don't meet the requirements, you can probably return the product
unopened to the reseller for a refund. You can then purchase the Standard
Upgrade edition.

I purchased the academic version and was not asked for any
verification when it registered online.

You donät have to verify that you belong to an academic institution when you
register the software. I was told that it's up to the reseller to ask for
this kind of information. I only had to show something that proved that I
did study something at the University.

Registration never asks for verification. It's a marketing tool, unlike
Windows Office's Activation, which is required to run the software.
