Stange shading in checkbox

Hi. Not really a problem this one, more a curiosity. I
have a Check Box on a form which is used to determine
whether the associated record is included in a Mail Merge
and/or Label set. Most of the boxes not checked (or
ticked) have a white background but some have a sort of
cross hatched background. Any idea why this is so?

Hi. With this as a prompter I had a look at the check box
propreties. I discovered a setting called Triple State
(which in my case is set to NO) and when I search for
help on this it does mention the box changing to shaded
for Is Null contents. Cant understand why this should
happen in my case though. Never mind, thats enough of an
explanation for me. Perhaps my boxes are shaded if theyve
never been ticked or unticked? Thanks for the responses,
Noel

Never having been ticked or unticked means Null unless you've set a default
for the control.
