Start/Finish Tiem in minutes/hours

I need to complete and hour by hour plan in shich will allow me to set links
and predecessors for the project on per hour or 30 minute intervals. How can
I set it up so that I can link time together without having to make a manual
adjustment everytime the project start time changes?

Hello Global PM,

First I suggest changing the date format to show time as well as date.
Go to Tools > Options, View tab and select a date format which shows
time. You may also find it easier if you change the option for duration
to show in hours, not days. Also in Tools > Options, Schedule tab.

Once you set the correct start date and time for the project (Project >
Project Information) then add the tasks with the appropriate duration in
minutes or hours. When you link the tasks (created predecessors and
successors) the task dates and times will adjust as you need. Avoid
manually entering dates/times as this will set constraints in the
project. Then you'll find the tasks do not update as you need.

How can I set the start at 5:00pm, I keep trying t hcange the defaukt working
hours, but it keeps changing back to 8:00am?

Hello Global PM,

You need to change the calendar (Tools > Change Working Time) to allow
tasks to be scheduled at other than 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Please see FAQ
#5 "Default Working Hours" at http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm.
