Can someone give me detailed instructions on how to remove programs that are
on when I startup XP every day.

I right clicked properties
I hit customized
I hit advanced

I don't see a list of programs to uncheck or know what to do next. Thanks

Right-click on the Start button then Explore... which will
open the Windows Explorer at the folder "Start Menu". Go
to the sub-directory Programs / StartUp and you will see
all *personal* shortcuts / programs that start
automatically when you start your OS. There is also
an "All Users" Startup that you can get to by right-click
on the Start button and then Explore All Users...

BTW, you posted to the wrong newsgroup. This newsgroup is
for Microsoft Access, a database application. Please
direct your future questions on WinXP to the Windows XP
newsgroups.
