Start Word

When the startwindow for Word launches and it says like: Optimize the fonttable I get the message: The Font xxxxx is broken and needs to be replaced. When I click OK the next window appears with the same message over next fonttype in alphabetical order. I´ve tried to manage through "the list" but have given up after about 40 clicks…

How can this be solved?

First, use Font Book to resolve Duplicates & Verify Fonts... the necessary
instructions are in Font Books Help.

Then shut down your Mac & see if the problem is resolved after you restart.
If not, you may have to manually flush the font cache. Come back for further
info if necessary, but I believe the restart will handle it for you.

Just a friendly suggestion based on a "hunch" :) Despite what we're led to
believe, leaving your Mac running 24/7 & just relying on "Sleep" is one of
the major causes of such problems -- Compounded by leaving apps like Word
running around the clock. Quit the program when not using it & restart your
Mac *at least* every other day... For laptops it'll also help conserve
battery power if you shut it down when you don't expect to use it for
several hours.
