Starting Outlook 2003 Minimized

I have 2003 an XP Home system. I have been trying to find a way to start
Outlook minimized.

I have tried starting from a shortcut set to minimize but this fails to
minimize to tray instead Outlook starts in the standard reduced mode. I have
Outlook set to 'Hide when Minimized' . I have checked the registry has the
Mintotray DWORD set to 1. Every attempt results in the same. It loads, shows
the splash and tray icon then loads the minimized screen on the desktop.

Am I missing something? I didn't want to run a third party application.

All the tweaks I have seen focuses on these two options but there has to be
a way for me to get it to work???

Any ideas?

Outlook is only able to start minimized when it was closed minimized or in
the Normal window state. When it was closed in the Maximized window state it
will also load in the Maximized state.
